Job Details: RN/RPN TEAM LEADER

Description: Qualifications:
A Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse possessing a current Ontario Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and a Medication Administration Certificate, including the administration of IM injections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate nursing records, effectively handles medical emergencies for residents and possess solid assessment skills.

- Supervises the nursing care given by Resident Attendants under his/her direction, in accordance with the Resident Care Plans.

- Maintains effective communication and good interpersonal relations with medical and allied staff, residents, families and other departments.

- Maintains the safekeeping of all drugs and prescribed treatments on the unit. Administers drugs and treatments according to procedure.

- Maintains currency related to directives/memos/policies within facilities.

- Specific duties will be listed on Job Routines and/or assigned by the supervisor.
