This is certainly one of the most unique opportunities available today in the Southeast. A progressive hospital located in South Georgia is developing a new OB/GYN group to provide services to a 4-county region that is virtually without full time local coverage. Surprisingly, this opportunity is located 12 miles from a Southern University Community and is a reasonable drive to the warm waters of the Gulf and Georgia Coast. This is a "boutique" OB/GYN service and we seek an experienced candidate who is interested in start-up scenarios with great financial potential and opportunity to employ the latest surgical skills in GYN surgery. Location

We are only a two hour drive from the Gulf Coast, Jacksonville Florida or the resort communities of Coastal Georgia. We offer a number of different lifestyle options.
- The hospital and practice are located in a quaint small town atmosphere that is surrounded by picturesque land perfect for building a country estate, horse ranch, or old-fashioned farm. The variety of new homes in this area will surprise you as well as the lower cost of living and quality of education.
- The second option is one of Georgia's nicest university communities located a quick 15 minute drive south. The population is approximately 100,000 but provides services to over 500,000 in this part of Georgia. The university provides the area with higher educational opportunities, collegiate sports, plays, concerts, and other cultural activities. This community has a variety of residential options; new swim/tennis developments, established neighborhoods with tree lined streets, to championship golf course estates. The area is known for a plethora of shopping outlets, specialty stores, and fine dining establishments. Public and private schools offer advanced placement and college prep programs.

- Hospital is a member of a progressive healthcare system that is backed with sound financials, experienced executives, strategic marketing, and expansion of hospital technologies.
- Our strategy is to develop a "boutique" personalized obstetrical service that will appeal to young families who have relocated to this growing youthful region of the state.
- We have already recruited a very reputable OB/GYN physician to initiate the set-up phase of this practice and update the clinical service.
- An experienced candidate who possesses up to date surgical skills will have the opportunity to develop a busy GYN program in addition to a share of the obstetrical base.
- The hospital used to deliver over 500 babies per year in this market but the service dropped considerably due to the sudden loss of 4 physicians who were the main providers of the obstetrical service. When a second quality physician joins us, we will be well on our way to re-establishing our market presence however with significantly updated clinical services and a personalized approach to delivering the highest quality of care in the area.

Finances

- New group employment setting with progressive office facilities utilizing the latest EMR software for both clinical and financial data.
- $300K to $325K offer for an experienced candidate. This includes a guaranteed yearly salary (with no payback provisions) plus a very competitive sign-on bonus.
- If available, we could have you join us the 4th quarter of 2008, however we realize that candidates might require more time for relocation and licensure.
- Residents will also be considered (pending financial package) and considered on an individual basis.
