Description: The Public Health Manager provides expert leadership, consultation and clinical assistance to the public health nursing programs in the Athabasca Health Authority.
The Public Health Manager also supervises the work of public health and health promotion staff within the Population Health Unit. Reporting to the Population Health Unit Director, the Public Health Manager works closely with the managers of public health and health promotion in the three northern Health Authorities, and the Medical Health Officer.

Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with five years experience in Public Health Nursing OR a Master's degree in applied Public Health and two years experience in Public Health Nursing.
• Current registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association
• Highly knowledgeable about public health nursing, public health and population health approaches
• Skill and experience in teaching, human resources management, policy and program development and evaluation
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Knowledge of northern community health issues and resources
• Competency in using Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to travel on gravel and paved roads and by scheduled and chartered aircraft
