Come here for the PACU experience of a lifetime. PACU: Our Surgery Services provide the full range of inpatient and outpatient procedures for adults, children, and the acute population that comes with our Level I Trauma Center, Paramedic Base Station and Tertiary Referral Facility Status. We are seeking an accomplished leader to oversee the delivery of patient care in our PACU. Our PACU is a modern, state of the art unit with touch screen monitors, bedside computerized charting, and high speed web access for up to date clinical care. The PACU is a very unique department in that it is located on 4 floors. Whether your passion is cardiothoracic, liver/kidney/lung/heart transplantation or orthopaedics, we have it here for you! Our patient population ranges from stable infants and adults to the critically ill. Come join our team of PACU nurses where autonomy and critical thinking are practiced. We have a total of 51 post-operative bays with 2 dedicated PACU clinical educators to assist you in your educational needs. We support professional advancement and offer onsite certification review courses to our nurses and on-site continuing education classes. In addition, there is a PACU training program that is offered biannually for nurses who are interested in the PACU, but do not have previous PACU or ICU experience. The training program is 6 months in duration, consisting of 17 weeks of didactic and clinical rotation to each of the specialty PACU’s. Thus, you get to learn and see it all! If you like a challenging, stimulating, and fast paced environment where the nurse to patient ratio is 1:2, then the PACU is for you! Come join our collaborative team of nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons to provide the best evidenced based care to our perioperative patients. Requirements/Experience: BSN preferred. Valid California Registered Nurse license, CPAN preferred. Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS. Minimum 3 years experience in the specialty. Experience as a team leader or charge nurse preferred.
