Outpatient Auditors are responsible for performing in-depth reviews of acute-care hospital Outpatient medical records to ensure CPT-4 codes/APC assignments are supported by clinical documentation. Outpatient Auditors may also be responsible for validating HCPCS and revenue coding. Outpatient Auditors also present their findings to LMS clients, provide educations, and monitor final resolution of recommended changes.

Requires:
- Active coding credential of RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC;
- A minimum of three years recent acute care outpatient CPT-4/APC coding or consulting experience;
- Thorough knowledge of APC methodology;
- Familiar with CMS outpatient compliance guidelines;
- Able to handle overnight travel by car or airplane Monday-Friday; home on weekends;
- MS Windows, Word, Power Point and Outlook experience;
- Able to manage field equipment, including a laptop and portable printer;
- Well organized, detail orientated and able to work independently;
- Above average verbal, written communication and personal interaction skills.

Openings: We currently need Outpatient Auditors to support clients in Pittsburgh, PA and Atlanta, GA (local candidates or ones willing to travel to these areas). These auditors may also be required to support other clients in the Eastern Region and occasionally have nationwide travel. Travel is Monday-Friday, you are home on the weekends.
