Rate of Pay Range:$29.919 per hour to $37.399 per hour Hours of Work:18.75 hours per week,including weekends and statutory holidays on a rotating basis (as part of the Orthopaedic Physiotherapy team). The successful applicant will provide Physiotherapy services at University Hospital to patients with musculoskeletal dysfunction (includes both inpatient and outpatient service). The Physiotherapist will work closely with other Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapy Assistants and other team members. The successful candidate will support collaborative, patient centred, evidence based care. The physiotherapist reports to the Manager - Surgical Care and has a matrix reporting relationship to the Professional Practice Leader of Physiotherapy within the Program Management model. Qualifications Baccalaureate or Masters Degree in Physiotherapy Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario Current membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association preferred Completion of Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (CPR training) Previous inpatient and outpatient orthopaedic clinical experience with both arthroplasty and sports medicine patient populations Demonstrated effective discharge planning and promoting continuity of care Proven problem solving and decision making ability Demonstrated evidence-based approach to physiotherapy practice and strongly developed spirit of inquiry Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team as well as the ability to function independently Demonstrated commitment to both clinical and continuing education Ability to respond positively to change Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis All employees will abide by and live out LHSC's Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Conduct.
