Responsibilities:
- Providing advanced clinical services
- Assessing the health status of patients
- Educating patients and their families about healthcare
- Consulting with other nurses to solve complex clinical issues
- Conducting research
- Managing graduate nurses

Qualifications:
- MSN/CNS
- Five years' experience in Level III Labor & Delivery unit
- Two years' management experience
- Must meet JCAHO requirements
- Familiarity with Meditech computerized charting system
- Experience with fiscal/budgetary responsibilities
- Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Superior leadership ability

License/Certification:
- Texas RN license
- Texas Board of Nursing approval to practice as a Clinical Nurse Specialist
- NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
- STABLE certification within 1 year of hire
