hospital in Southern TX. New Grads start at $103k,
2 years experience receives up to $160k DOE. Night
shift 7p-7a, 7 on 7 off available. 18% shift differential,
10% sign on , 20% tuition reimb, paid relo.

Due to the nature of hospital services, it may become necessary to require employees to work extended hours or other variations of the usual shift to ensure adequate care of patients and maintain service to the community. Brief Summary of Job Responsibilities: Performs clinical pharmacy functions and incorporates these functions within the framework or our drug dispensing distribution/administration systems. This will include assessment and evaluation of drug therapy as modifications are made to a patient's drug regimen. It will also include drug monitoring programs and participating in various drug use protocols. Major emphasis will be placed on proper utilization of drugs. Brief Summary of qualifications: College of pharmacy or graduate of a foreign college of pharmacy and currently licensed by the State Board to practice in Texas. Experience and proven competency in a clinical environment is necessary. It is also desirable to have a strong background in hospital pharmacy. Working Environment: Works in a clean, well-lighted, air-conditioned area. May be exposed to potentially hazardous and toxic substances. Is subject to various chemical odors, burns, and skin irritations from pharmaceutical products. None of these hazards present a tangible problem when handled carefully and according to instructions. Job Relationships: Supervised by: Pharmacy Operations Manager, Clinical Pharmacy Director and Director of Pharmacy. Supervises Pharmacy Technicians. Notes from HR Manager: FYI...we need to hire 4 Staff Pharmacist to work nights only. The night shift is from 7p-7a. They have two choices on the incentives we provide. Keep in mind they can only choose one not both and the tuition reimbursement is only for a Pharmacist straight out of Pharmacy School (up too only their 2 years out of school) not their Residency. Sign Ons-$10,000 for 24 month commitment full time status only (taxable). We try to give them the sign on with their first pay check. If they terminate or change status they will owe the full amount of $10K back to the Company. Tuition reimbursement is up to $20,000 for a 24 month commitment and is paid out in increments of $5,000 every 6 months. It is also taxable and they need to complete the six months before they can apply for the next $5,000, if they don't complete the six months then they don't get the next $5,000. The rate starts at $103K+. The director would be able to give a more or less figure to the pharmacist at the time of the interview. this is done only because he has to calculate the rate based on years of experience. Keep in mind the staff pharmacist also qualifies for shift differential and the night shift is at 18%. We do have the 7 on 7 off. Yes we do prefer a PhD. No we only have one in Pedi. We basically need staff pharmacist in a hospital setting with 2+ years of experience. We do take new grads if they are willing to work nights.
