The Potter's House Family and Children Treatment Center was organized to provide a stable, and consistent community for children regardless of race, color, creed, or religious background.

These children have not been able to remain with natural or foster families because of a variety of disruptive factors, both internal and external.Our goal, if at all possible, is to return the child to their natural parents. We strongly encourage the involvement of parents in planning and Family Therapy as they work toward a successful completion of their Case Plan for reunification. Parental involvement is not mandatory, but highly encouraged.

Job Summary:

The organization provides community based therapeutic services to children and their families with behavioral health diagnoses at a public behavioral health outpatient center located in the Stone Mountain area of Dekalb/Gwinnett counties in the metro Atlanta section of GA.

Responsible for daily operation and management of the clinical department, case assignments, supervision of progress notes, IRP's and MICP review, training for all mental health Staff. High intensity clinical environment which requires a high degree of decision making and program administration. Leads and trains Therapist/MH Counselors and interns to engage in stabilization/intervention services for youth and their families. Oversees the provision of assessments, therapy, Treatment Plans, Discharge Plans, therapeutic crisis intervention. Oversees the authorization of services from funding sources. Knowledge and understanding of MHDDAD Core Standards and IFI Services. Must have a minimum of 5 years prior experience with staff management and supervision.

Responsibilities of Mental Health Director / Director Of Clinical Services:

• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical standards of practice, regulations and reimbursement procedures Medicaid and CMO participation.
• Ability to function as an effective team leader and member through good communication and cooperation to meet organization's goals.
• Ability to deal tactfully with employees, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive feedback.
• Ability to understand and monitor applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
• Sufficient verbal and written communication skills to perform the tasks required.
• Sufficient computer skills required to perform duties.
• Able to manage multiple task simultaneously.
• Must be emotionally stable.
• Able to manage a fast pace environment.
