Position
Information
The Chief Nursing Officer is responsible
for the executive direction of nursing services with
over 400 FTEs. Qualified candidates will be master's
prepared with previous experience in a nursing leadership
role. Candidates who are patient centered, visible,
able to motivate, and think globally will be most successful.
Ideal candidates will have a vision for patient care
services, dedication to quality outcomes and staff
education, and an open communication style.
Hospital Information
The 375-bed, Joint Commission-accredited facility
with 1,700 employees and approximately 500 physicians,
is nestled between coastal beaches and redwood forests
and provides high-quality, up-to-the-minute patient
care with a variety of services including cardiology,
neurology, rehabilitation as well as emergency services.
This medical center has been serving the community
for 66 years and is a dual-campus network serving
the needs of the Monterey Bay region. The second
facility in the system is a rehabilitation hospital
with services including neurological, speech, outpatient,
stroke, and hand programs. The hospital is a part
of Catholic Healthcare West which is a system of
42 hospitals and medical centers in California, Arizona,
and Nevada and is the 8th largest hospital system
in the nation.

The city of 56,000 is approximately 74 miles south
of San Francisco and 30 miles from San Jose, California.
