Job Details: Two Cardiologists for Community Based Duke Faculty Positions

Description: Two Cardiologists sought to join 2 other Duke community based cardiology faculty members in Duke community based faculty practice which is part of a new Duke-managed heart hospital, Southeastern Heart Center.
Seeking one invasive-non interventional cardiologist and one interventional cardiologist to help expand local cardiology inpatient and outpatient services to the community. Physicians would have academic appointment with the Division of Cardiology at Duke and would be encouraged to pursue an academic 'link' with Duke, including research and/or clinical activities. Duke will provide practice management, including billing and collections, compliance and risk management, managed care contracting and human resources.

Southeastern Medical Center is a private, not for profit facility with 314 acute care beds, 115 skilled nursing beds, and a separate 33 bed psychiatric center. 11 OR suites, 24/7 hospitalist coverage, 12 bed ICU with telemetry for 16 additional beds and 6 new additional cardiac ICU beds. Hospital serves as satellite station for Duke Life Care and ED features telemedicine link to Duke. Imaging services include full time MRI availability, mobile PET, 2 cath labs and full range of echocardiography and nuclear imaging services.

Lumberton, NC is located 90 miles south of Raleigh/Durham and 90 minutes from the NC coast. Good public and private schools. County population of 125,000 with market area population of 275,000.
