This position
is responsible to coordinate student recruitment, selection,
guidance, instruction, skills testing and evaluation.
Coordinate program accreditation process. Establish
effective working relationships with radiation therapy
staff within the clinical education centers (all sites
are part of Halifax Health). Coordinate the advisory
committee for the program. Organize and oversee lecture
presentations, preparation of laboratory assignments,
and all demonstrations and evaluations regarding program
courses. Primary areas of teaching may include didactic
and clinical courses in simulation and treatment planning,
treatment techniques, radiobiology, oncology and pathology,
quality assurance, radiation protection, patient care
and management, and other related courses. Graduates
from the Radiation Therapy Technology Program at Halifax
Health consistently score in the top 5% in the United
States and in 2006 the program was listed as #1 in
the U.S. based on the student's scores on their national
boards.
Qualifications:
1. Must be a graduate
of an accredited School of Radiation Therapy
2.
Must be licensed by the State of Florida as a Radiation
Therapist
3. Six to eight years of experience preferred
4.
Masters degree required
