Description: Practice Emergency Medicine in St. Louis with its internationally recognized cultural institutions, three professional sports teams, an abundance of restaurants, European cafes, entertainment, golf courses, and plentiful shopping.
ECI, the nation's premier, privately owned emergency staffing and management company for over 35 years, is currently seeking qualified candidates for full and part-time positions in the following emergency departments.

Christian Hospital, located in St. Louis, averages 45,000 patients annually and operates one of the busiest emergency departments in the state of Missouri. The hospital's EMS department operates a fleet of basic and advanced life-support ambulances and a heliport. Their emergency services exceed all state and national best practice averages relating to emergency care for heart attack and congestive heart failure, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Northwest HealthCare, located in Florissant, averages 31,000 patients annually. This is a freestanding, full service emergency department that has fifteen private rooms, three of which are considered in-patient rooms. Northwest HealthCare patients have access to an emergency room that is equipped with the latest in medical technology and a formal affiliation with Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Saint Louis Children's Hospital, and the renowned Washington University School of Medicine.

Alton Memorial Hospital is a 222-bed facility affiliated with the BJC Health System that sees 28,000 patients annually. The department has a total of 17 beds, all of which are private. There are two large trauma rooms, three cardiac rooms, as well as other specialty rooms. There is a Fast Track facility adjacent to the Emergency Department that is open seven days a week. Alton, with a population of 45,000, lies east of the Mississippi River in southern Illinois and becomes part of the greater metropolitan St. Louis area by several expanding routes. Just 25 miles from downtown St. Louis, Alton is also located near Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

Physicians must be board-certified in Emergency Medicine or a Primary Care specialty with Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care experience.
