Job Skills/Requirements
This unit specializes in Orthopedics which includes caring for patients who have had total joint replacement surgery, spinal surgery, fractures and trauma injuries. The unit is certified in telemetry. The staff is offered a solid foundation in nursing and patient care for a diverse population of patients. Staff is encouraged and supported in an educational environment promoting the development of excellent nursing skills. The staff work as a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapy, care management, social work, respiratory care, pastoral care, dietician and attending physicians and physician assistants.
The role of the Clinical Resource Nurse is to coordinate staff education, be a resource to staff, unit and manager, and special projects. Must enjoy patient care, teaching, very good organizational skills, communication skills, initiative, flexibility in hours, may require off shift hours to support staff educational needs.

Requirements
BSN preferred. Surgical experience and orthopedics highly desired
