Our Multi-System Intensive Care unit is a combined medical and surgical unit. The nurses on this unit care for patients with multi-system disorders, ranging from acute coronary conditions to multi-organ failure. This ICU also supports patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators and intra-aortic balloon therapy. The Florida Hospital East Orlando ICU is comprised of a caring multidisciplinary team of Nurses, physicians and support staff to meet the needs of their patients. Job Description: The RN is a registered professional nurse who is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age specific groups. The RN utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. The RN adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. The RN actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Job Requirements: •One year of recent Critical Care experience required •Basic Life Support (BLS) required •Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required •Must be a graduate of a school of nursing •Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Florida or actively pursuing reciprocity from another state.
