Dallas VA Medical Center, Dallas, TX is recruiting for dedicated physicians to join our academic team in Ophthalmology! VANTHCS is actively recruiting for a leadership position in our busy, academic Ophthalmology Department. We are seeking a Chief of Ophthalmology to participate in our clinical practice and teaching programs. We have an active affiliation with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSWMC). The incumbent will be a comprehensive ophthalmologist, ideally with subspecialty training, who is board certified in ophthalmology. Demonstrated interest in academic pursuits is preferable. Candidate will teach ophthalmology residents primarily at the Dallas VA Medical Center. This position offers excellent opportunities for rewarding interactions with an outstanding house staff and faculty, basic and clinical investigation in a strong research program, and participation in the dynamic evolution of a progressive medical care system. VANTHCS is an integrated health care system serving veteran patients in 38 counties, including 2 in Oklahoma. In addition to a wide variety of acute care services, VANTHCS provides over one million outpatient visits a year at our Dallas, Bonham, Tyler and Fort Worth locations. The Dallas VA is one of the top five VA hospitals in the nation for surgery volume.
