Located in Behchoko (Rae), NT and reporting directly to the Regional Home Care Coordinator the incumbent is to provide comprehensive, quality nursing care to clients of all ages and their families in their own homes, schools and in the communities of Rae Edzo, in accordance with agency policy, procedures and relevant legislation.

The Home Care Nurse works independently, within the parameters of the professional code of ethics, professional standards of nursing and the policies/procedures of the organization. Physicians and other health care professionals are not always readily available and the nurse must make informed, pertinent decision/nursing interventions in a timely and life-saving manner.

Typically these knowledge, skills and abilities would be acquired through completion of a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and 2 years current acute care or community nursing experience. Must have a valid NWT Class 5 Drivers License and be registered with the RNANT/NU.

The salary starts at $35.06 per hour (approximately $68,367 per annum) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,957.00.
A job offer is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal record check. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a medical clearance.
