Job Details: MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST

Description: Specimen Receiving, Electrocardiography, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Urinalysis and Microbiology in accordance to the CSMLS professional guidelines, the collective agreement and the HRHSSA policies and procedures.
Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for using critical thinking skills in the interpretation of results to ensure the multidisciplinary team can make a precise assessment, and diagnosis for optimal patient care and treatment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training
Graduate of approved program in Laboratory Technology.
Current registration with C.S.M.L.S.
Related experience as a Laboratory Technologist
Special Skills and Knowledge
Ability to perform electrocardiographs
Transport of Dangerous Goods and WHMIS Certification would be an asset

Good organizational/communication skills
Salary: $33.46 â€" $37.94 per hour
Status: Casual, no guarantee of hours
