Description: Ft- 40 hours - This position has comprehensive accountability for managing human, material and financial resources to ensure quality, cost effective delivery of patient services for the critically ill post operative open heart in-patient population.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. One degree must be Nursing. Current CT RN License required. CPR certification required. Minimum of 3 years relevant clinical experience, and strong written and verbal communication skills required. Demonstrated progressive leadership skills and previous/current cardiothoracic surgical experience preferred

Reports to and supports Director of Service by functioning within the framework of professional nursing practice. Patient population includes use of : CVVH, IABP, VAD.
