Completion of a Nurse-Midwifery Program accredited by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)
Certification by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)
Current Connecticut State RN license. Current LNM license.
Masters Degree in Nursing or Masters Degree in an Health Related Field. 3-5 years of experience preferred.
Women's Health Services has one CNM position available in a 4 CNM group practice. This position will provide holistic, quality and cost effective care for women. The practice includes independent decision- making regarding the health care of women across the lifespan and across the health care continuum. Practices within a health care system that allows medical consultation, collaborative management and referral health care of women, i.e. well woman, gynecology, obstetrics (antepartum, labor, delivery and postpartum), and family planning. Experience preferred in triage. The staff CNM position currently includes day shift hours, mostly weekday, with some weekend time in the near future. Hours are flexible and may change in the future as the practice expands. The staff CNM position currently includes 2-12 hr shifts in our Labor and delivery triage area and 2 -8 hour shifts caring for women in our clinic population. This is a wonderful opportunity to help create, and work in, a new and growing CNM practice in Hartford. This position reports to the unit leader who is the lead CNM. The Unit leader is part of a collaborative management team including the OB/GYN Chief, the OB Medical Director and the Women's Health Services Director.
