Description: Medical Director - Hospice/Palliative Care - University of Chicago Affiliate - Chicago Suburbs
NorthShore University Health System, the principle teaching affiliate of The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, is seeking a full-time, Medical Director for Hospice and Palliative Care. A prerequisite for this position is board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Board of Family Practice. The successful candidate must also be eligible for certification by the ABMS Subspecialty Board of Hospice and Palliative Care. We seek a candidate with outstanding leadership skills.

The Medical Director will serve as the clinical leader of an interdisciplinary team and will be responsible for the overall direction, implementation and continuous improvement of clinical programs in the field of hospice and palliative care. Responsibilities also include leadership of educational activities in both hospice and palliative medicine across the training continuum. The Medical Director is also expected to provide palliative medicine consultations and care. This is an academic position and the Medical Director will be proposed for a faculty appointment.

Anticipated starting date will be as mutually convenient.
