Job Details: RN Operating Room Coordinator

Description: Mankato Surgery Center has been the place of choice of surgeons for room turnover and competent staff. Awarded highest accreditation level by AAAHC in 2006.
Responsible for the daily operations of a surgery center and supervisor to OR staff team. The RN coordinator provides leadership and supervision to surgical technicians, OR RNS and other non licensed personnel. Assists the Administrative Director on tasks such as budgeting and financial decisions for the center.

Education/Experience
Required:
-Graduate from an accredited school of nursing as a registered nurse.
-Management experience or supervisory experience.
-One to two years experience in the operating room as scrub technician or circulating nurse.
Preferred:
-Previous experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center
-Completion of or pursuing a Bachelors degree

License/Certification
-Minnesota licensed or ability to apply and receive MN license.
-Current certification in BLS, ACLS and PALS preferred

Skills and Abilities:
-Computer skills with ability to navigate on system with word processor, excel or others.
-Budget process understanding and participation in process
-Works independently to achieve smooth operation of surgical schedule and ability to work with all OR team members ie. Anesthesia personnel, outside contracted services, clinics and physicians/surgeons.
-Understands operating equipment and calls for repairs if needed and ability to trouble shoot most equipment.
