Job Details: Breast Center APRN

 
Description: Breast Center APRN
Responsible for processing and patient care management of breast patients including in some patient and mainly outpatient arenas. The APRN works collaboratively with attending physicians, nurses, and utilizes a team approach in the care of the complex breast patient and the patient with breast cancer. The APRN may diagnose illness and physical condition and perform therapeutic and corrective measures within the Breast Care/Cancer specialty. Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of patients by interview, health history, physical exam and diagnostic tests. Participates in department KROs and quality improvement initiatives. Carries out responsibilities with minimal need for supervision and guidance within the scope of practice.

- At least one year experience in Nursing Education.

- Demonstrated competence in nursing area of expertise (2-5 years)

- Consultative relationships with the NM, NCM, PNIII and APN and physicians as appropriate

- BS in nursing or related field

- Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Connecticut

- BLS Certification, ACLS Provider Certification

- PALS Provider Certificate where appropriate
