St. Joseph's continues to expand and enhance its services to meet the growing needs of the community by providing comprehensive neurological, neurosurgical, pediatric, perinatal, cardiac, thoracic, and cancer care. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Our Pediatric Cardiodiagnostics Department is currently seeking an Echo Supervisor with the following qualifications: 1. Registered by ARDMS in Pediatric Echocardiography, Fetal Echocardiography and Adult Echocardiography. 2. Minimum 5 years in pediatric and fetal imaging. 3. Ability to perform echocardiograms with guidelines set by St. Joseph’s Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography. 4. Ability to manage a busy Pediatric Echo Lab 5. Proven ability to work and effectively communicate with physicians, sonographers, and managers and other ancillary hospital staff. DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assists in the implementation of the immediate and long term goals of the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory. 2. Responsible for echocardiography laboratory daily operations that include coordination of schedule and work flow. 3. Directly responsible for maintaining the proper functioning of the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography Laboratory’s physical plant and equipment. 4. Coordination of sonographer daily activities and facilitating a smooth work flow in accordance with set guidelines. 5. Coordination and participation, if necessary, in Outreach services. 6. Coordination and participation in Telemedicine services. 7. Assists the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory Director in preparing annual appraisals for sonographers and Echo Lab non-technical staff. 8. Responsible for resolution of human resources and human relation issues of the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory technical and non-technical staff. Promotes professionalism in employee-employee and employee-patient relationship. 9. Acts as Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory liaison to enhance relationship with Medical Center administrative, medical, technical and clerical staff members. 10. Facilitates continuous quality improvement process within the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory and assists the lab Director in doing that function on an interdivisional basis. 11. Monitors and implements Echo Lab database information entry. 12. Responsible for assuring accuracy of in-patient, out-patient, and outreach echo billing. 13. Assists the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography Laboratory Director in preparation and management of the Echo lab annual operational and capital budget. 14. Performs echocardiograms in accordance with set guidelines. 15. Facilitates implementation of imaging guidelines set as standard for the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory by the Director. 16. Facilitates consistency in imaging quality among other sonographers according to the set imaging guidelines. 17. Assists the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory Director and other authorized physicians in preparation of Echo Lab materials for clinical and educational conferences. 18. Participates in educational and research conferences involving echocardiography with the approval of the Echo Lab Director. 19. Assists the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory Director and other authorized physicians in training physician-trainees and medical students. 20. Assists the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory Director in the Lab’s educational program for sonographer-trainees. 21. Participates in research protocols with the approval of the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory Director. 22.
