While we have been expanding the number of physicians and the types of services we offer, we have continued to provide the highest quality of care expected from our community. - BSN is preferred - ACLS preferred - BCLS Preferred - Current state license is required - Customer Service skills are required - Experience is preferred Assumes responsibility for monitoring of quality patient care in the Cardiovascular Interventional Center and Radiology Department. *Demonstrates a commitment to evidence-based practice and performs in accordance with the philosophy, established policies procedures, and standards of the Nursing Division, Cardiovascular Department and the Hospital. *Assess, plans, implements, supports and evaluates care of the Cardiovascular patient from admission to discharge, following approved algorithms of care. *Readily participates with peers and other team members with all procedures to be performed in the Cardiovascular Suite. *Rotates to all specialties in that Suite. *Develops and carries out a nursing care plan for each patient in the suite and participates in its implementation. *Responsible to direct, assign, evaluate and supervise ancillary staff team members who support the Cardiovascular Intervention Center. Interviews and recommends candidates for hiring, terminating, transferring and promotions of staff. *Is able to effectively manage team work concept. Remains flexible in response to changes. *Participates in the data collection in the Cardiovascular Suite to meet regulatory and registry measures. Participates in the Performance Improvement process for the PCI program and others. Actively uses and analyzes information, making recommendations related to quality patient care, processes to enhance care. Responsible for tracking and reporting established outcome measures. *Participates in the coordination and communication of quality information for the Cardiovascular Suite in collaboration with the Nurse Manager and Administrative Director. *Rotates to all services in the Cardiovascular Suite including Cardiac Cath, EPS, Interventional Radiology, Endovascular Surgery, Ablation, Pre and Post Care, and Radiology. Works closely with all department members and the medical staff to insure quality patient care. *Monitors and medicates patients for procedures and ensures patient safety. Education/Experience: *Cardiovascular specific clinical experience preferred. *Graduate of accredited school of nursing. *Previous ICU/CCU experience preferred *Background with Moderate Sedation preferred JOB REQUIREMENTS: *Proficiency in BLS and ACLS preferred *Procedural based experience such as OR, Cath Lab or Angio highly preferred. *Strong communication skills both oral and written required Certification/License: *Current MA RN Licensure *Current BLS card *Current ACLS card Our benefits programs offer a wide variety of options to meet the diverse needs of our employee population.
