Description: Wonderful Pulmonary/Critical Care Opportunity Available in NW Arkansas
St. Edward Mercy Health Center is seeking a Pulmonary / Critical Care physician to join an expanding group with a call ratio of 1:4. St. Edward Mercy Health Center is a general acute-care 343 bed full-service hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas which serves a population of over 430,000. St. Edward offers a generous compensation and benefits package.

St. Edward Mercy Medical Center just celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2005 and opened its $70 million "Centers of Excellence" in 2002 with facilities for the treatment of heart disease; women and children; and outpatient procedures. The complex includes a 55,488 square-foot state-of-the-art St. Edward Mercy Heart Center offering comprehensive heart services and a 77,997 square-foot St. Edward Outpatient Center offering surgical treatment without overnight stay. Mercy Ambulatory Surgery Center received the national Press-Ganey Compass Award for outstanding customer satisfaction.

In addition, St. Edward is also the recipient of Quality Improvement Awards from the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care; the Hospital Quality Achievement Gold Award, the Hospital Quality Measurement Platinum Award and the Innovator Award. St. Edwards was named a National Research Corporation Consumer Choice Award winner by the people of Fort Smith as the most preferred hospital in the region for best quality and image.
