Job Details: Infectious Disease Physician

 
Description: Infectious Disease Physician: Practice Infectious Diseases in a regional hospital serving the lower Piedmont of North Carolina. Enjoy stimulating cases and practice 100% infectious diseases in a charming family town.
There are busy orthopedic surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, pulmonary medicine and medical oncology services with attendant infectious diseases issues. The practice is purely consultative with no admission responsibilities; the majority of the practice is inpatient with additional outpatient consultation and hospital follow-up care.

There are opportunities for involvement in hospital epidemiology and healthcare quality improvement efforts. Be involved in clinical education of infectious diseases fellows with an opportunity for university clinical faculty appointment. Join our fellowship trained, Infectious Diseases Physician, who was recently recognized by his colleagues and nursing staff as our Physician of the Year. Future growth planning involves the addition of a formal travel clinic.

Must have medical degree from an accredited medical school. Successful completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency with an additional fellowship in Infectious Diseases is required. Board Certification/eligibility required. Current licensure by the NC Board of Medical Examiners required.
