NorthShore University HealthSystem Seeks Chair
of Family Medicine
The NorthShore University HealthSystem
(formerly Evanston Northwestern Healthcare) is seeking
an energetic and visionary leader to Chair the Department
of Family Medicine. The Department of Family Medicine
includes 91 members, including 43 full-time employed
faculty and a three year residency with five residents
per year. Successful Chair candidates will be recognized
as leaders in family medicine and have a demonstrated
track record in clinical care, teaching, and research.
Candidates who are collaborative, facilitative, and
able to build an efficient and effective family medicine
program across a large enterprise with the highest
standards of clinical outcomes are encouraged to apply.
Candidates who also have an advanced business degree
will be ideal. The successful candidate will work closely
with the administrative and clinical staff to oversee
all clinical and research aspects of the Department.
The Chair will be proposed for a clinical faculty appointment
at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
The
NorthShore University HealthSystem is a world-class,
three-hospital, fully integrated healthcare organization
with another hospital to be added in January, 2009.

Hospitals, based on results from the Leapfrog Hospital
