Description: BC Gastroenterologist is sought to join our 100+ member multi-specialty practice group located in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate NY.
The Position: Become part of the financially sound and profitable ArnotHealth System in a well rounded semi-rural community that offers many of the amenities of a larger metropolitan area. You will be supported by superior staff and premier diagnostic capabilities in our new, state-of-the-art gastroenterology suite that averages 250 procedures per month. Share professional responsibilities with two other GI physicians while blending your talents to enhance the practice, the medical center and the community. Arnot Health is the brand name under which all of the services of Arnot Ogden Medical Center and its affiliated organizations are promoted and marketed. Collectively, the facilities that make up Arnot Health provide diagnostic, ambulatory, secondary and tertiary acute care, as well as rehabilitative and wellness services to residents of the Southern Tier of New York and Northern Tier of Pennsylvania. Arnot Ogden Medical Center (AOMC) is an independent, not-for-profit, 256-bed acute health care facility with a 40-bed residential healthcare facility and a reputation for leading edge technology. Its medical staff includes more than 300 physicians practicing in over 50 specialties. Boasting a 65% market share in its home county of Chemung, the medical center accommodated over 10,000 admissions and 300,000 outpatient visits in 2006. A state of the art electronic clinical information system at AOMC offers physicians the convenience and efficiency of accomplishing a number of tasks remotely, from signing charts to direct order entry.

For the fiscal year ending December, 2006 Arnot Health had net revenues of $150 Million and invested funds of over $100 Million. 2007 is in line to be one of our most successful years yet!

Core Medical Center services include designation as one of eleven Level II Trauma Centers in Upstate New York, Level III NICU, NYS designated Stroke Center, The Center for Wound Healing that includes hyperbaric therapy, exceptional rehabilitation services offering two water resistance pools, advanced imaging services with interventional radiology capability as well as MRA, high-field open MRI, 64-slice CT and PET/CT, the largest diagnostic laboratory in the Southern Tier and acute renal dialysis units operated at four sites. The Medical Center recently received 5-star ratings from HealthGrades for its Human Motion Institute, Bariatric Surgery Program and Heart and Vascular Institute. The ArnotHealth Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine is a member of the prestigious NYS Occupational Health Clinic Network.

Centers of Excellence include:
• Heart & Vascular Institute- The Heart & Vascular Institute® is affiliated with the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and offers cardiovascular surgery, percutaneous coronary intervention, cardiac electrophysiology and a complete line of non-invasive testing and cardiac rehabilitation services
• Falck Cancer Center- A philosophy of patient-centered care, coupled with advanced technologies and therapies are the hallmarks of the Center's services. Radiation and oncology patients can depend on precise, state-of-the-art imaging, simulation and treatment planning, as well as the most advanced diagnostic testing and treatment interventions.
• The Health Center for Women- A resource for serving the healthcare needs of women at every stage of life, The Center offers diagnostic, treatment, educational, preventative and support services designed to enrich the quality of life among women and families throughout the Twin Tiers. The Center collaborates extensively with the Breast Care center, perinatal program and the regions only NICU. Services include GYN care, DEXA scanning, mobile mammography and complementary medicine.

Arnot Medical Services
Arnot Medical Services (AMS) is a 100+ provider multi-specialty medical practice that is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO). AMS operates 15 primary care offices and 17 specialty care offices that are conveniently located throughout the Twin Tiers. All primary care offices utilize the electronic medical record which can be accessed from any AMS office and the Medical Center.

The group is organized as a NYS professional corporation and strategically led by a Board of Directors consisting of seven practice group members who are elected by their peers, as well as Vice President of Medical Affairs of Arnot Ogden Medical Center.

In pursuit of clinical excellence, a formal patient satisfaction program was implemented in 2005 with the assistance of Press Ganey, a national leader in the field. Recent results place overall patient satisfaction above the 90th percentile of medical practices in the United States!
