Description:
We are a high volume orthopaedic practice
centered in the largest medical center in the world,
the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas.
We are
currently seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner with
excellent clinical and surgical skills. In this position
you will provide first assisting duties in the OR,
assist the physician in clinic and perform daily rounds
in the hospital. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner
will work independently in a weekly post-op clinic,
performing joint injections and running independent
clinics. Some office call is required as well as hospital
consultations. The Nurse Practitioner also coordinates
preoperative planning for all surgical procedures including
templating, contacting implant representatives and
performing preoperative H&P's. Some office work
is required including patient phone calls, prescription
refills and maintaining electronic medical records.
The right candidate for this position will receive
competitive pay and excellent benefits. Experience
in orthopaedic surgery is helpful but not required.
