Sacred Heart Medical Center (SHMC)
continues to build on its 70 year history and a strong
foundation of surgical excellence as we build The Oregon
Surgical Institute at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
This institute will serve our community well into the
future. We are recruiting for a full time BC General
Surgeon. Practice options include joining the PeaceHealth
Medical Group, a 145 member multi-specialty group or
Northwest Surgical Specialists, a ten-member private
practice group. Both are located in Eugene/Springfield,
Oregon. The scope of surgical practice is very broad,
including advanced upper and lower GI procedures, cardiac,
thoracic, oncologic, bariatric, orthopedic, urologic,
and pediatric sub-specialties, and state-of-the-art
stent grafting, aortic and carotid stenting, and advanced
vascular technologies. Each practice is affiliated
with SHMC, a dual campus not-for-profit hospital. Sacred
Heart Medical Center at RiverBend, a new, state-of-the-art,
362-bed regional medical center, including fully integrated,
digital Smart ORs and HD technology, opened August
10, 2008.
Eugene/Springfield is a community
of 250,000 located in western Oregon and surrounded
by the famous Willamette Valley, bordered by the spectacular
Pacific coastline and the beautiful peaks of the Cascade
mountain range. You'll have the opportunity to enjoy
outdoor pursuits ranging from skiing to sailing while
you explore national forests, clear lakes, and mountains.
