Description: Excellent opportunity for BC/BE Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons to join a growing Trauma Program
Pocono Medical Center is seeking to add BC/BE Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons to its staff in the development of its new Trauma Program.

Pocono Medical Center is a 233-bed Community Hospital that has been transitioning since 2004 into a Regional Medical Center. The hospital recently completed a $54 million expansion project necessitated by phenomenal growth in Monroe County. The expansion includes a new four-story wing-100,000 square feet of additional space-which houses a 41-bed Emergency Department, 10 state-of-the-art surgical suites, a 24-bed Ambulatory Surgery Center, and an improved Diagnostic Imaging Facility. The centerpiece of the facility is the new Heart and Vascular Institute at PMC.

Plans are in progress for PMC to become a Level III Trauma Center in the very near future. In addition, the expansion will continue over the next several years with a main focus in Primary Care, Women's and Children's Services, Surgery, Oncology, Musculoskeletal Services, and Cardiac Wellness.

PMC is located just off Interstate 80, only 75 miles from Manhattan and 90 minutes from Philadelphia. The Pocono Mountains boast spectacular year-round activities including skiing, biking, boating, fishing, hiking, and more than 30 golf courses. The Poconos is a rapidly growing, economical area for both individuals and families.
