Geriatrician Needed
Rare opportunity to
join one of Northern California's premier multi-specialty
medical groups as geriatricians (2 physicians sought).
A geriatric team is being developed at the
Palo Alto Medical Foundation's Palo Alto Clinic to
care for patients in the South Bay Region of the San
Francisco Bay Area. Work with a dedicated group of
primary care and specialty physicians and hospitalists.
Participate in creating a system-based, comprehensive
approach to optimize care for our elderly patients.
Position responsibilities include: clinical
care for post-discharge skilled nursing facility patients;
care for nursing facility residents; outpatient ambulatory
care; providing comprehensive geriatric assessment;
working with colleagues in interdisciplinary teams;
and participate in establishing a model of SNF and
nursing facility care.
Mentoring opportunities
are available, as well as opportunities for teaching
of Stanford medical students and residents.
