The Vice President of Business Growth and Development reports to the President and is responsible for promoting Valley Emergency Physicians' (VEP) emergency department services to prospective hospital clients. This role will identify prospects, qualify feasibility and bring new business to fruition. Upon implementation of new contracts, VP will act as Interim Medical Director and work with recruitment team to fulfill staffing requirements. Responsibilities: -Must develop sales & marketing policies, programs and systems to support strategic direction; -Works with key operations personnel to construct a well-defined client target list; • Strategically develop and align region's business plan with organizational goals and objectives; -Development and delivery of sales & marketing presentations; -Lead and direct the proposal development process; -Partner with the management team to ensure successful implementation of new contracts; -Build shareholder value through meeting and exceeding sales & margin goals by utilizing strong negotiation tactics; and other duties as assigned by senior management. Education: -Doctorate Degree in Medicine. (M.D. or D.O.) -Unrestricted active Texas MD license and DEA license within 6 months Qualifications: -Minimum of five years healthcare sales and marketing experience interacting with C-level executives with a thorough understanding of the emergency medicine market; -Successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve company objectives; -Excellent interpersonal, executive and organizational leadership skills; -Ability to understand the issues and challenges that face hospitals, staff and providers. -Ability to interface effectively at all levels within the organization; -Excellent oral, written and presentation skills; -Strong analytical and problem solving skills; -Action oriented and results driven; -Ability to set priorities and achieve objectives; -Financial skills including analyzing, budgeting and monitoring of data; -Proficient with PC-based software programs including MS Office Suite; -Ability to work independently and travel to corporate office, as needed.
