Primary role: The Sr. Clinical Analyst IT, CPOE team has knowledge of a specific clinical discipline. The Sr. Clinical Analyst has a basic knowledge of the functions and applications of clinical information systems. This Sr. Clinical Analyst is a member of the CPOE team, works in system implementation, application management and support and with multidisciplinary teams to create order set and standards. Essential tasks/responsibilities: # Interprets, modifies, analyzes and designs clinical systems, data, and information with supervision. # Implements applications, tools, processes and structures that assist clinicians with the management of data in patient care and provision of health care. # Provides systems support including hardware maintenance, trouble shooting, component replacement and repair, system monitoring and the installation and maintenance of software. # Participates in planning and teaching of customer training sessions. # Assists in making oral and written presentations to project teams and management. # Completes moderately complex tasks and portions of larger clinical information system projects with direction. # Identifies internal resources to build project team performance. # Updates system, operational and department documentation. # Recommends areas for process improvement. # Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Education/Training: Work requires graduation or certification from an accredited healthcare training or educational program. Licensure appropriate to healthcare discipline in North Carolina. Experience: Work requires clinical training or experience. Clinical experience and at least one year of computer experience is preferred. Classes or a degree in computer science combined with at least one year of clinical experience is preferred.
