Position Description: This position is responsible for the support of Pharmacy IT, ARIA, and Horizon Clinicals (HC) application systems/infrastructure by providing and/or coordinating architecture/design, setup, administration, maintenance, enhancements, and security measures on multiple hardware and operating system platforms. Provide coordination and technical knowledge and support with technical and non-technical staff to accomplish the stated objectives of the organization. Participate in 24x7x365 monitoring and support for all services Multi-platform server infrastructure design, implementation, maintenance, and management - including new server installation, backup management, OS patch management, log monitoring Security - Information Security System Administrator (ISSA) - risk assessment/vulnerability management Maintain Organizational Units, Login Scripts, and Group Policy Objects in Active Directory for servers and workstations Coordinate/manage/support vendor applications/installations - including hardware specifications, installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting Workstation image design/management/rollout Manage/support Workstation Patch Management process Maintain documentation and procedure management to ensure adherence to organizational standards Have comprehensive understanding of system integration Coordinate and support upgrades, patches and new releases with all appropriate systems and personnel Daily support and monitoring system performance and facilitate problem resolution Assist in reporting and data extraction Create and provide system level training and act as system resource Assist in all Pharmacy IT and Physician Order Entry projects and issues as appropriate Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred, will consider equivalent experience Advanced knowledge of Citrix, Active Directory, Imaging Software, Operating Systems, and Security Management preferred Working knowledge of UNIX, SQL, and Crystal Reports preferred Strong microcomputer skills; including Microsoft Windows, Windows 95/98/NT/2000 and the Microsoft suite of products Project coordination skills, excellent analytical, verbal, written, and organizational skills and positive outlook Understanding and experience with Information Systems and data Knowledge of Health Care Industry and related Health Care Applications preferred The Duke benefits offered with this position are significant and can be viewed at www.hr.duke.edu/benefits.
