Located in the heart of Providence, RI, The Miriam Hospital offers the excitement of the city and the warmth of a community atmosphere. We currently have a full time position open for a Director of Surgical Services.

The Director of Surgical Services develops, organizes, directs and evaluates surgical support services for The Miriam Hospital All essential functions performed in this position reflect the age specific needs of the patients.

Master's degree in Nursing or related field such as healthcare administration or the equivalent with a
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from accredited college or university.

Seven or more years progressively more responsible related experience, preferably gained in a similarly diverse and operationally complex healthcare environment. Experience should demonstrate a very high level of written and oral communication skills; ability to conceptualize, develop and effect quality clinical surgical services, effective leadership/management skills and commitment to continuous quality improvement. Thorough knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Rhode Island.
