Job Details: RN Surgery

Description: Plans and organizes the patient care team; assesses the patients physical and psycho/social needs; develops an individualized plan of care; performs patient care tasks

Prepares and administers medication; reevaluates the plan of care and modifies, as needed; verbally communicates pertinent information to interdisciplinary team members and clients; documents relevant information; educates/coaches clients and interdisciplinary team members; and supervises the practice of nursing and manages the outcomes.. Work requires frequent standing, walking, stooping/bending, lifting up to 50 pounds floor to waist and up to 10 pounds waist to shoulder (without assistance), pushing/pulling up to 200 pounds (without assistance), and patient transfers up to 200 pounds (with assistance, in accordance with the Safe Lifting Policy EC 023); work requires occasional climbing and use of a keyboard; work requires occasional to frequent patient lifting (with assistance) up to no more than an average of 50 pounds per person; color perception is required. Work occurs inside; work requires frequent exposure to hazardous materials, infectious diseases, blood born pathogens and sharps; work requires occasional exposure to low light levels, confined space, elevated surfaces and hazardous materials.

Job Requirements:
The ability to speak, read and write English is required; additional education and experience may be required for specific areas.
