Description: The Audiologist provides diagnostic, intervention, preventative, educational, counseling and referral services to in and outpatients, that suffer from hearing difficulties
The Stanton Territorial Health Authority (STHA) is a 100 in-patient bed accredited facility in Yellowknife, and is a referral center for approximately 37,000 regional residents of the Northwest Territories and Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut. The Audiologist provides diagnostic, intervention, preventative, educational, counseling and referral services to in and outpatients, that suffer from hearing difficulties and works closely with another Audiologist, a Hearing Aid Practitioner and 2 ENT specialists. The Audiology equipment is state of the art including a new ENG/VNG + wireless ABR as well it offers diversity in clinical practice that is uncommon.

Qualifications for this position are acquired through the successful completion of a Masters Degree in Audiology. Within the STHA, the Audiologist must be a certified member of the Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA). The Salary starts at $37.47 per hour (approximately $73,067 per annum), plus a northern allowance of $2,500.00.

A job offer is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal record check. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a medical clearance.
