Join Our Team! Texas Children's Pediatric Associates are primary care practices located throughout the Houston area. Doctors provide primary care, diagnosis, management and follow-up for well and ill infants and children. Office hours are typically from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some offices have evening and Saturday hours. We offer many career opportunities. Position Summary Purpose: To gather information, assess and provide direct care to patients. Knowledge and Skills: Required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is a fundamental knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment. Also required is knowledge of related OSHA, CLIA and JCAHO guidelines and requirements, general office tasks, confidentiality and filing system. Required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is the ability to use thermometer, scales, sphygmomanometer/stethoscope, scalp vein needles, hearing/vision screening equipment, pulse oximetry, typanometer, basic laboratory, i.e., microscope, centrifuge, hematology analyzer, and specimen collection. Proficiency with treatments such as nebulizer, ear irrigation, and dressing changes. Familiarity with all business office machines, i.e., computer, multi-line telephone, copier and fax machines. Formal Education, License and Experience: The formal education normally associated with completely satisfactory performance in this job is a high school graduate, GED or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited school of Licensed Vocational Nursing. Current license or permit to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas. Current CPR.
