Health Care, we are seeking a dynamic and visionary
leader for the position of Medical Director, Neonatology.
1 Opening - Full-time; BC Neonatologist 650,000 Population; 1 million Draw Area 1 hour north of Chicago; on beautiful Lake Michigan Aurora Health Care is a leading health system providing comprehensive patient care through its 14 hospitals and more than 100 clinics in over 90 communities throughout Eastern Wisconsin. At present, high-risk maternal/newborn care is delivered in five regions through a network of Neonatologists, Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists and nearly 120 OB/GYN's. OB services are provided in 10 hospitals within the system with 12,000 deliveries annually. Aurora's three tertiary Level III facilities offer comprehensive neonatal and perinatal services. The Aurora Women's Pavilion and Aurora Sinai Medical Center, both located in the Milwaukee metropolitan area, are Level III facilities offering services including Perinatal Assessment Centers, Genetic Counseling Centers, Level III Neonatal ICU's, high risk inpatient obstetrical services and high risk care coordination. Both facilities service a seven-county draw area encompassing a population of nearly 2 million. Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay houses a Level III NICU and its thriving Reproductive Endocrinology & Fertility Clinic offers comprehensive fertility solutions through a renowned reproductive endocrinologist utilizing a state-of-the-art facility with the most advanced assisted reproductive techniques available. Aurora is also affiliated with the University of Wisconsin Medical School through its Milwaukee clinical campus offering residency and fellowship programs in a variety of specialties including OB/GYN. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing medical leadership to create a framework and model for all neonatology and well baby nursery services within our large, integrated system. This includes the collaborative development of standards, procedures, systems and guidelines that meet the unique and specific needs of patients and providers in each region while offering a consistent and integrated program incorporating 'best practices' system-wide. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Medical Services, the Director will be involved in a diverse mix of clinical and administrative duties including direct patient care and consults, staff development, medical education, technology integration, program development and quality improvement.
