Requirements include:
- Bachelor´s degree in nursing from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or accepted by the U.S. Secretary of Education
Completion of a qualified course in operating room nursing or 1 year of supervised operating room experience
- Between 21 and 42 years of age (health care professionals ages 43 to 60 are now eligible for a two-year service contract under the OAPP program)
- Current, valid and unrestricted nursing license
- U.S. citizenship
