Abrazo Health Care is looking for an experienced Applications Analyst II. In this role, you will work with the Director of COE to design, set up and maintain Horizon Laboratory (HLAB), Horizon Blood Bank (HBB) and Power Path systems to meet the requirements of our lab customers.
Additional responsibilities include:
Developing and enforcing documentation and development standards as appropriate.
Providing support and trouble shooting of lab-related issues via IT ticketing system tickets.
Supporting enterprise and regional project efforts via delivery of Lab portions of other clinical projects as well as status tracking and on time delivery.
Determining new lab projects scope definition (i.e., concept scoping, budgeting, approval). May be expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
Reviewing, analyzing and modifying programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organizations application systems.
Consulting with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Writes manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures.
Responsible for overseeing activities of vendors in support and maintenance of system/installations
The ideal candidate has knowledge of patient care environments and in-depth knowledge of hospital processes. Particular areas of expertise of interest would be Blood Bank and Lab instrument interfacing. 3+ years of supporting McKesson lab systems (HLAB, HBB and Power Path) and operational knowledge gained from working in the lab or in IT supporting lab applications. Associate degree in related field and MT certification preferred.
