Palmetto Health received national recognition this year when it was named one of the top 100 places to work in health care for the second year in a row. The Biomed Tech assists in the repair, preventative maintenance, calibration and verification of biomedical equipment. Handles a variety of changing duties resulting from the complexities of electrical apparatus and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Tests electrical and electronic components to locate shorts, faulty connections and defective parts. Repairs, performs PM and performance verification on biomedical equipment as per the clinical ladder.

- Documents activities, orders parts, and maintains inventory and technical library.

- Receives technical training.

- Assists in equipment installation.

Requirements:
Education: Associate Degree in biomedical equipment technology or equivalent.

Experience: 1-3 years experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of biomedical equipment

Special Training: ability to see, hear, and orally communicate
