The incumbent will perform and document a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient, including requesting consultations and diagnostic studies and selecting pre-anesthetic medications and fluids. She/he will develop and implement an anesthetic plan; initiating the anesthetic technique, which may include general, regional, local, and sedation (MAC) monitored anesthetic care. He/she will select, apply and insert appropriate non-invasive and invasive monitoring modalities for continuous evaluation of patients status; managing patients airway and pulmonary status using current practice modalities/facilitating emergence and recovery from anesthesia by selecting, ordering, and administering medications, fluids, and ventilator support; providing post-anesthetic follow-up evaluation and care. Performs other associated duties.
