Coordinate and manage clinic service activities and staff to achieve continuous and optimal patient care. Schedules, assigns and supervises the work of the clerical & clinical staff. Acts as a resource person to staff in the department.

Clinical Outcomes

Clinical Outcome Measures, Patient Safety) Coordinate diagnostic and treatment activities of the clinic/department with services of other departments to ensure effective patient care and efficient service.
Maintain liaison with professional medical staff and other personnel in administrating policies and procedures regarding patient flow and utilization of space, time, supplies, and equipment. Develop policies and procedures to improve patient care and utilization of clinic resources.
Supervise and coordinate activities of a clinic/department to include establishing and maintaining systems for patient flow through the clinic/department and the utilization of clinic and ancillary facilities and manpower.

Patient Satisfaction Scores) Greets and provides assistance to visitors and patients. Explains policies and procedures, and resolves problems. Gathers necessary documentation to support proper handling of inquiries/complaints.
Teaches and leads CQI and customer service processes. Involves the physicians and staff in improving daily operations of the program.

Staff Focus

(Core Measures: Retention & Employee Engagement) Provides leadership and supervision of clinical team to further the vision, values and strategies of PMG.
Integrate new staff from MSO into the clinic operations including any site specific training
Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance and initiates/makes recommendations for personnel actions.

Financial Outcomes

(Core Measures: Performance against Budget, Contribution Margin) Accountable for understanding, enforcing and following all internal controls, particularly as they relate to cash management policies and procedures.
Directs and coordinates all scheduling, check-in, check-out, and financial services activities within the clinic / department.
Maintain budget performance and ensure financial targets are met.

Develop operating budget variance plan & dept-specific action plan (revenue & expense)

Operating/Functional Duties Uses problem solving to recognize, anticipate and resolve clinical and patient care process problems.
Responsible for all aspects of clinical regulatory compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and standards and takes corrective action when deficiencies occur.
Assists with direct patient care during times of high volume or staffing shortage.
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Adheres to JCAHO and ACR guidelines.
Accountable for daily business processes and Business Office communication. Responsible for data gathering for operational analysis of site. Oversees compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Coordinates CQI initiatives.
Functions as liaison between physicians and staff.
