Clinical Coordinator – Pediatrics/Famiily Practice

The Clinical Coordinator will have a focus on Borgess Family Practice and Pediatrics Practice sites located in Richland, MI.
This full-time, day shift position will coordinate daily clinical operations in collaboration with the Clinical Manager. The Clinical Coordinator will establish clinical quality control procedures and oversee orientation and skill competencies of each new clinical staff for the clinics. This role will also be responsible for developing and maintaining schedules for providers and clinical staff.
Additional responsibilities include:
- organizing and scheduling clinical staff educational in-services for annual competencies as well as continuing clinical education.
- Development, implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Creating and updating practice specific protocols as needed.
- Observe, monitor and resolve any clinical safety issues.
- Assess clinical work flow/process.
- Collaborate with managers and staff to improve inefficiencies.
- Develop a consistent orientation program for clinical staff at the Family Practice and Pediatrics clinics.
- Assist Managers and Quality Excellence with Joint Commission planning, preparation and continued maintenance.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse highly preferred.
- Minimum of three years management experience in an ambulatory setting.
- Previous experience in Pediatrics and/or Family Practice setting preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of provider and staff scheduling techniques.
- Talent in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with medical staff, clinical staff, patient/families and co-workers.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
