Detailed Position Description
This position is for the Rainbow Babies and Children´s Hospital Winter Bonus Program!! Earn Premium pay for 20 weeks during our RSV/FLU season! You will need to commit 24 hrs/week for 20 weeks to participate in this program. You will provide safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
Essential duties include: patient documentation; direct patient care/assessment; medication administration; discharge planning, community resource referral and education.
Actively participates in the quality improvement process. Involved in learning and self-improvement.
Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers.
Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers.
Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.
Position Requirements
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice; at least one year RN Pediatric experience required.
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.
Education Requirements
Bachelor degree in Nursing from accredited program or Staff Nurse who has demonstrated the ability to assume responsibility of the Clinical Nurse role.
License/Certification Requirements
Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the State of Ohio
