MMC is looking for a motivated, organized individual, with experience in supporting Logician, to see us through the next 18 months and help us transition from Logician to the Epic outpatient EMR.
Knowledge of LinkLogic, the DTS, system set up, testing of knowledge updates and Docutrak is required to jump into this role. Training of the Epic system will be provided.
In this position, reporting to the Manager of Clinical Systems, you will provide technical support and assist clinicians in day to day use of Logician for our busy multi-specialty clinics.

The Computer Systems Specialists position supports and enhances the software technology required to accommodate the changing demands, processes and technologies of the institution. The role includes both the implementation of new software applications, and the support of existing clinical and ancillary software systems. The implementation of new software solutions includes working closely with users to carefully define system requirements and develop appropriate analysis documentation (e.g., a cost-benefit analysis) to support the acquisition or enhancement of software technology. Once the system acquisition has been approved, the CSS will take a lead role in working with the users to finalize the software or design and develop the software for those applications in which a vended application is not appropriate.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Three years experience in programming and system design in a networked computer environment.
2. Extensive knowledge of networked computer systems, including hardware, operating systems, database management, and utility software.
3. Substantial knowledge of network and client operating system software.
4. Demonstrated proficiency in one or more applicable high-level programming languages.
5. Knowledge of software development methodologies including techniques for system analysis, design, documentation, implementation, and testing.
6. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-vendor environment including integration of various software and hardware components, including some that are of advanced or unproven technology.
7. Ability to communicate effectively and express ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.
