Exciting Consulting Career Opportunity with Industry Leader!
This Consultant position, within the GE/IDX Practice, will be focused on providing services related to GE Centricity and Enterprise Wide Scheduling EWS. The Consultant is responsible for providing high-level consulting to our hospital and academic medical center clients.
Interact effectively within a Physician Practice environment to assess current Scheduling practices and system and integrate new physician practice groups. Collect and translate departmental scheduling nuances in order to design and build GE Enterprise Wide Scheduling application EWS to clients specifications and need. Work in conjunction with client and Beacon staff on changes within the larger scope of the engagement.
Consults with client to define solutions to needs or problem areas, and determines scope of investigation required to obtain solution. Solutions may include installation of alternate methods and procedures, changes in methods and practices, or redesign of products or services.
Prepares written deliverables for client and Beacon management as defined in project scope, while complying with engagement standards, status report submission procedures, deadlines, and client folder specifications/requirements.
Other engagement specific responsibilities may include IT planning and needs assessments, system selection and implementation, project management, upgrade coordination and testing, custom programming, application support, design or build, interim management, business operational analysis and work flow redesign.
Maintains at least 85% billable utilization rate.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
Must possess the ability to understand the integration of applications and their impact on business process and operations. Must be able to work effectively with all levels of clients staff. Must be forward thinking, able to meet project deadlines, possess high level of energy and professional acumen, and be client service oriented. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team. Must exhibit a dedication to quality, reliability and resourcefulness.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, listening, and verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to take initiative, advise clients on alternate methods of solving problems, or recommend specific solutions. Creativity and excellent presentation skills are an asset. Must have the ability to anticipate problems and visualize solutions on a proactive basis.
High level of proficiency required within the MS Office Professional Suite: Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Two plus year of GE Enterprise Wide Schedule EWS design and build experience, including Master Schedules. Detailed knowledge of Appointment Types, Sets and Rules. Understanding of Physician Practice Scheduling.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience working in a position of a health care provider, organization, vendor or another consulting firm is required; specifically with project management, implementations, system support, business operations analysis or work flow redesign.
Bachelors degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
